They were the only ones there at the time, and he claims not to know what caused her death. He admitted his mistake was not reporting it to anyone. Instead, he left the scene, not even moving her body or doing anything to it. Later, he returned and tried to dispose of the body because he feared being blamed for it.
He clarified that they had an on-and-off relationship, and she had spent the night in his room, while he stayed in the living room. In the morning, he found her dead.
