Fireboy DML, the smooth crooner behind the hit “Jealous,” is saying don’t expect him to keep singing the same love songs forever.

In a recent interview, the Nigerian star admitted his music has taken a turn since his 2019 debut album,”Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps.” Blame it on becoming a millionaire, Fireboy says with a wink.

“Life changes you,” he laughs. “One minute you’re broke and writing ballads, the next you’re rolling in dough and feeling a little more ‘Playboy’-ish, you know?”

He’s not apologizing for the evolution, though. In fact, Fireboy encourages fans who miss the old him to revisit “LTG.” But for those hoping for another round of heartbreak anthems, he has a message: “I’m 27 now, I’ve seen some things. How can I write the same songs I did back then? Artists grow, we gotta live a little!”So go ahead, crank up “Peru” or hit shuffle on “Playboy.” Fireboy DML is still making music, just with a bit more swagger these days. And hey, who can blame him?
