A 53-year-old woman has surprised her country by marrying her adopted son, who is 31 years her junior. The musician, Aisylu Chizhevskaya Mingalim, celebrated her union with her 22-year-old adopted son, Daniel Chizhevsky, at a restaurant in Kazan, Tatarstan Republic, Russia, on October 20th.

Reports indicate that she adopted Daniel when he was just 13 after they met at an orphanage, where she was providing singing lessons. She began caring for him when she was 14.

Their marriage has raised concerns among child welfare officials in their country, leading to the removal of her other adopted children – four girls and one boy. Mingalim is contesting this decision and is distressed that some of her adopted children have been placed in care homes while others have returned to their family members.

Mingalim, who has one biological son from a previous marriage, revealed that her romantic relationship with Daniel began after she adopted him from the orphanage. She expressed that their connection is strong and they can’t imagine life without each other.

Mingalim is reportedly planning to move from Tatarstan to Moscow with her new husband, seeking a place where they can live freely and regain custody of her adopted children from the authorities.
